Degrees, Minutes, Seconds

You can enter values in the form of degrees, minutes, seconds (DMS) by using the [^{. , ,,}] key. Additionally, if you enter a value containing a decimal point, or the value is the result of a previous calculation, pressing [^{. , ,,}] will convert the decimal value to DMS.

To enter 5° 30' 15'', use [^{. , ,,}] twice between values. For example, you would key in:

{5} [^{. , ,,}] {30} [^{. ,
,,}] {15}

Pressing equals now will convert the value to decimal, i.e.,

[=] 5.50416666666666667

Press [^{. , ,,}] again to convert the result back to degrees, minutes and seconds.
